Ak Astana-baba (mausoleum) is part of the Tentative list of Uzbekistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Ak Astana-baba (mausoleum) is a 10-11th century old small square mausoleum in honor of Abu Khu-Khureyra who is considered a prophet’s associate. It is considered as sacred and a pilgrimage site by locals. It should not be confused with Astana Baba Mausoleum, also on the TWHS, in nearby Turkmenistan.
